In addition to mastering Functional Capacity Evaluation technology and EMG/NCV procedures and protocol, all MET medical technicians are fluent in performing manual range of motion and functional capacity testing. This enables our technicians to make certain the computerized protocols are clear and consistent with actual examination findings and patient participation. |
Our medical professionals monitor the patient's heart rate throughout the examinations as well as perform and document visual observation to determine the patient's maximum voluntary efforts. This protocol as outlined by our office ensures accurate and valid testing results. |
Hablamos Español Medical Evaluators of Texas, ASO, LLC takes patient care one step further in providing physicians, medical technicians, and clerical staff that are bilingual.
Testing results will be submitted to the requesting party and all involved parties within 24 hours of the test completion.
Functional Capacity Evaluations
A Functional Capacity Evaluation or Physical Assessment Evaluation determines the patient's physical abilities and measures all physical demand levels.
Functional Capacity Evaluations measure the patient's physical demand levels with regards to walking, balance, crawling, finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination, the ability to carry, stoop, kneel, handle, feel, pull, crouch, reach, use tools, sit and stand, and range of motion.
MET technology is unsurpassed in simulating job demands, from measuring functional capacity to organizing a program for return-to-work. Each patient is tested in an objective manner to provide you with reliable data for use in determining treatment, therapy, or return-to-work status. This data will be supplied to you in a comprehensive report format that provides for easy interpretation. Testing protocols are supported by peer reviewed published studies to insure supportable data for use in all applications and to provide a standardized testing platform for all patients.
